Walking tour of Rostov-on-Don
Rostov-on-Don has many names: “Gates of the Caucasus”, “the Southern Capital”, “Rostov-Papa”, but what they mean, and what city history is hidden in them? On a trip to the village of Starocherkasskaya, you will learn about the origin of the Cossacks, get acquainted with the culture, life, traditions and customs of the Don Cossacks. Results of RAAPA Summer forum held in Rostov-on-Don
on July 14 – 16, 2021.
Much anticipated the 9th International Summer Forum of Amusement Industry Specialists in Rostov-on-Don has been held!
Over 180 specialists from 52 cities of Russia took part in the RAAPA forum.
The city government of Rostov-on-Don, the Ministry of Culture of the Rostov Region and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Rostov Region provided active support in organizing the forum.
The general sponsor of the event was the Factory of Entertainments company from Azov, and the partner of the event was the RIF Group of companies from Rostov-on-Don -
Informational partners were The Amusement Industry Catalogue, VTORIO.COM internet portal and the Attractions and Entertainments magazine.
RAAPA summer forum in Rostov-on-Don has become an important event for the Russian amusement industry.
The program of events was overwhelming.
On July 13, participants were given the opportunity to explore the historical center of the city during a walking tour.
On July 14, the forum began with a welcome address by the general sponsor of the event, the Factory of Entertainments company, to the forum participants.
Head of the Department of Culture of the city of Rostov-on-Don Yana.M. Pilyavskaya, presented the results of the work of the department for the development of municipal parks of culture and leisure and projects for the further development of the city's recreational zones.
Maria Kuleshova, Chief Specialist of the MICE Development Center, Agency for Tourism and Business Communications of the Rostov Region, spoke about the tourism potential of the Rostov Region and the broad prospects for the development of the cultural and leisure sector.
The presentation of Elizaveta Rossiyskaya, Director for Sustainable Development Projects at Hello IO, was dedicated to the integration of multimedia technologies in tourism, amusement, cultural and leisure facilities, and was illustrated with the examples of already implemented facilities.
Zhanna Drozdetskaya, director of the RIF Group of companies, told what principles should be followed while choosing a supplier of entertainment equipment.
The business program continued with the presentations of new equipment and the latest achievements of the amusement industry, which were held by the leading Russian manufacturers: Factory of Attractions, RIF Group of companies, Vostok, Airmir, Attraplast, Game-Keeper, Airpalace, Volgograd Attractions, Super Park, Air-Games, BOLID, SPARTA, Megapolis, GROS, Lime-Soft, New Horizons, Altai Composite, Pax-Design, RAAPA Education Center, Diamet, LASOMI, Association GOROD, Avira.
The business day continued with the visits to popular amusement facilities of the city. The participants observed and tried modern trails in the Panda Park, where the Park Manager Daria Tikhonova answered the questions of the guests, and in the interactive amusement park "Hello Park" they plunged into the world of digital technologies.
The forum participants visited the Revolution Park, where they viewed the panorama of the city from the height of the 65-meter Ferris Wheel "ONE SKY" and had a ride on other breathtaking attractions. The Park management conducted a sightseeing tour of the park, answering multiple questions of the participants.
The first day ended with the gala reception devoted to the opening of the 9th RAAPA International Summer Forum in Rostov-on-Don.
The second day of the forum, July 15, began with the traditional sport event - the RAAPA Summer Race, which took place in the park named after May 1. Despite the early morning (7:00!), true running enthusiasts took part in this corporate competition. According to the results of the competition, the winners in the male and female categories were determined.
The seminars, which were held from 9-30 in the morning, were devoted to two topical issues: "What investments in the amusement industry today can bring profit", conducted by the "EntenS Group", and the second seminar devoted to the safe operation of amusement rides, kiddie playgrounds and to the improvement of public areas was conducted by experts Andrey Petrenko and Natalia Zinchenko.
A visit to the FEC “Dream Park” and the “TRON” laser tag gave an opportunity to observe the new generations of virtual reality attractions and the possibilities of a themed laser tag arena.
In the extensive business program, the boat ride along the Don (from 3 pm to 4 pm) became a kind of a time out, which made it possible to reconsider the serious topics of the forum and continue the discussions in an informal setting, admiring the view of the city and the vastness of the mighty river.
The program continued with a visit to the oldest park of the city, founded back in 1813, an object of historical and cultural significance - the Park named after Maxim Gorky, where the director of the park Marina Balberova made an interesting tour of the park. The day ended triumphantly with an enchanting concert program of the Cossack choir, organized in the park by Marina Balberova for the participants of the summer forum, and with the tasting of local delicacies - crayfish and traditional Kuban drinks!
On July 16, the participants of the RAAPA Summer forum got acquainted with the history, traditions and customs of the Cossacks. The excursion to the Cossack village of Starocherkasskaya- the capital of the Don Cossacks - was both informative and interesting. All participants of the tour were awarded the ranks of the Cossacks and received the relevant documents.
The 9th RAAPA Summer forum has received great reviews from the amusement industry professionals. It was the most populous RAAPA Summer forum, and it has proved the value of live communication. The participants appreciated the extensive business program, perfect organization, the possibility of exchanging views and experience.
