The results of RAAPA EXPO Autumn – 2022

The 16th Moscow international exhibition Amusement rides and entertainment equipment RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2022» was held from October 12 to 14 in the pavilion 57 at VDNH.

The exhibition organizer is Russian association of amusement parks and attractions, General sponsor PAX Design company. General media partner is Attractions and Entertainments magazine, Internet partner is vtorio.com and others.

75 companies took part in the exhibition. 17 out of them exhibited indirectly by presenting promotional materials at the booths.

The themes of the exhibition embraced such directions of the amusement industry as park rides, play machines, virtual reality, kiddie and sports grounds, activity parks, shooting galleries, inflatable rides, theming, rope courses, automation systems, water parks, vending equipment, prize machines, project design of parks and entertainment centers, personnel training, organization of festive events, etc.

Among the regular exhibitors there were such well-known companies as: Las Vegas, PO GROS, Antonio Zamperla (Italy), AirPalace, Airmir, Sparta, Bolid, Carousel Group of companies, Ferris Wheel, ATTRAPLAST and others.

Eight companies were first-time exhibitors.

Among the novelties, it would be worth to highlight: the developer of interactive spaces and games for children - CANICULA GAMES, the manufacturer of velomobiles "FAMILYBIKE", the network of rope parks from the "PARKWOODS" company, the manufacturer of kiddie educational furniture - MASTIK TEAM, the manufacturer of kiddie play and sports equipment "SHELBY", the developer of anti-vandal trampolines - SKOK, sports and amusement equipment of the industrial enterprise Atrium, Attraction-Service mobile mazes.

During three days the exhibition was visited by about 1500 specialists - owners and managers of amusement parks, family entertainment centers, water parks, cinemas, rest houses, health resorts, representatives of city administrations and authorities, event agencies, individual entrepreneurs and other parties of concern.
The exhibition was accompanied by a comprehensive business program. The central theme of the conferences and seminars was the adaptation of amusement industry enterprises to the new realities.

A fascinating workshop “BREAKthrough: how to make an excellent menu for a cafe/restaurant of an amusement park" was conducted by leading experts in the F&B industry on the basis of a specialized training center.

Andrey Petrenko, a well-known technical and forensic expert in the field of amusement equipment, held a seminar "Emergency situations in amusement parks and ways to minimize their consequences".

Topical legal issues were discussed at the seminar “Protection of the rights of amusement rides’ owners during state supervision. Differences between amusement rides and sports and entertainment equipment” (moderated by Vladimir Gnezdilov, RAAPA President).

More than 100 participants attended the conference "The amusement industry in an era of change: modern formats of work and ideas for development." Among the topics discussed were: current indoor / outdoor formats, domestic tourism, conceptual design in theme parks and others. After the conference, an excursion was organized for the participants to the agro-tourist park "City Farm at VDNH".

Natalia Likhovetskaya and Elena Baidukova, specialists of “My Team”, who won a lot of sympathy in spring and summer, this time held a business training on the topic “Sales in the entertainment business: how to get the desired result and go beyond it”.

Experts of the first theme park in Moscow "Dream Island" - Taras Buryak and Maxim Kozyrev, spoke about motivational programs for the linear personnel of the amusement park at their master class.

One of the most emotional events, of course, was an excursion to the attraction "Sun of Moscow" - the highest Ferris wheel in Europe.   

Traditionally, during the days of the autumn exhibition, the classes were held by the RAAPA Education Center on the safe and efficient operation of amusement rides. 32 specialists from 16 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan took part in them.

More than 170 specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia took part in the e RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2022 business program events.

In unstable economic and political conditions, Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions again took a responsible step and held another autumn exhibition of amusement rides and entertainment equipment at VDNH. As RAAPA Vice-President Igor Rodionov noted: “The more difficult the times, the more important the role of our industry becomes, because in any situation it continues to give people happiness and celebration, and today it is more important than ever!”
