On Thursday, August 26, the winners of the fifth All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment will be announced - there will be 160 of them in total. Projects recognized as the most elaborated and of high quality in the opinion of a qualified jury, as well as those that have passed a multi-stage selection, will receive grants with the total amount of 10 billion rubles ...

“The All-Russian Competition is an effective tool for supporting small towns and historical settlements. In fact, it acts as a training school for regional project teams. So, following the results of the implementation of the projects of the 4th competition, the results of which were summed up last year, the improvement of territories with a total area of more than 10 thousand square meters is expected, and their total attendance may exceed 49 million people a year, ”said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

Projects submitted to the competition are evaluated according to several criteria at once: the degree of citizen involvement, the quality of architectural and planning solutions, the demand for territories and the synchronization of the project with other development programs of the territory are taken into account. It is also necessary to preserve the historical, urban planning and natural environment. Another equally important criterion is that a comprehensive improvement project must be calculated from an economic and social point of view. Since this year, another factor has been taken into account - applications are also evaluated in terms of their impact on the environment, the use of environmentally friendly materials.
