Belgorodsky Zoo was open on June 1, 2016 in the forest park Sosnovka, the general investor of the project was GC Agro-Belgorodye. The territory of the park consists of 25 ha and includes 43 expositions of animals. Walking roots run through several geographical zones: Far East, Russian North, Europe, Asia, America and Australia. There are car and bicycle parking lots, souvenir shop, café, picnic zone, kiddie playground, attractions and other entertainments for the visitors of the zoo.

15:00 – 16:00 – Tour to Museum-Diorama “Ognennaya Duga”.
Museum-Diorama “Ognennaya Duga” – is the most visited museum of Belgorod, devoted to the legendary Tank Battle of Prokhorovka which made a turning point in The Battle of Kursk. The Diorama is the largest in Russia, the size of its canvas is 1005sq.m., between the picture and the viewing platform there is an embossed relief model (substantive plan) occupying the area of over 500 sq.m. The artists have reconstructed the events observed from 252,2 m height. The spectators view the battle of the 5th Guards Tank Army, dispositions of the 29th Tank Corps.
16:15 - 16:45 – Visit to Central Park of Culture and Leisure, meeting with the management.
Central Park of Culture and Leisure is a favorite recreation zone of most citizens. The park has all facilities for adequate family leisure: lots of attractions split to zones by interest, kiddie play grounds, café, sports grounds and active leisure areas, landscaped spaces, etc. The park is having sustainable development.
16:45 - 17:15 – Visit to a Family Leisure Club-Park Tropicano, meeting with the management.
Club-Park Tropicano is a theme entertainment complex located on the territory of the Belgorod Central Park. The Club owns an edifice with the café for holding festive events and educational master-classes, four-storied kiddie maze, soft module play complex named Karapuz, a stage for shows, 5D cinema, prize machines, kiddie rides etc. The park area annexed to the café offers a variety of possibilities for play and entertainment.

Part 1: A tour to the Museum-Preserve “Prokhorovka Field”.
Military Historical Museum-Preserve “Prokhorovka Field” is a multifunctional memorial complex dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet Army in the tank battle at Prokhorovka in the Great Patriotic War. The complex covers a vast territory with war memorials and monuments; the major of them is a Victory Monument - a belfry erected at the hill height 252,2 m, where on July 12, 1943 the epicenter of Prokhorovka tank battle was deployed. The memorial complex exposes the WWII armored vehicles, the museum The Third Battlefield of Russia with implemented modern multimedia technologies and installations, the temple to the Saint Preeminent Apostles Peter and Paul and other sites of interest.

Part 2: Tour to Park Klyuchi and Ethnographic Village Kostroma.
Park Klyuchi is a recreation zone located at the picturesque site embraced by the oak tree grove on the grounds of a former estate owned by a landlord Pitra. On the territory of the park there is an interactive open air museum Kostroma, an ethnographic village displaying Russian traditional lifestyle and customs of the village residents of the 19th-beginning 20th centuries. During the cultural-entertainment tour the guests will observe seven thematic courtyards with the demonstration of traditional craftworks in each of them. Any guest will be able to see the unique achievements of artisans and take part in their master classes.

THE RESULTS
of the 5th International Summer Forum of Amusement and Leisure Industry Specialists in Belgorod
On July 13-15, 2016 the 5th International Summer Forum of entertainment industry specialists “Amusement and leisure industry in regions of Russia” organized by Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA) was held in Belgorod.
The event was supported by the City Administration of Belgorod and the Government of Belgorod region. The General Sponsor – PAX, Group of companies and the Official Sponsor - I.E. PARK (Italy). Over 110 specialists of various spheres of amusement industry from more than 40 cities of Russia (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Volgograd, Arkhangelsk, Izhevsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Krasnoyarsk, Kursk, Orel, Voronezh, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tula, Petrozavodsk, Makhachkala, Penza, Kaluga, Seversk, and others), as well as foreign countries – Italy and Kazakhstan participated in the Forum. Among them were: Directors and top managers of amusement parks, entertainment centers, resorts, representatives of’ administrations, manufacturers of entertainment equipment and other parties of concern.
This year all profile cultural institutions and parks of the presented region - Belgorod and the neighbor cities - took an active part in the Forum.
The opening of RAAPA Summer Forum took place at the Conference Hall of the Business Hotel Continental. According to the traditions, the Forum started with presenting the amusement industry in the Belgorod region. Antonina Ivanova, representative of the Culture Department of Belgorod, spoke about the current situation of entertainment sphere in the city and the main tendencies of its development in the neighbor region. The Festivals program held in Belgorod was of particular interest for the audience. In her speech, Ms. Ivanova also pointed out the importance of holding the Summer Forum in Belgorod as “this event, undoubtedly, will contribute to further development of amusement industry in the region, will help to attract the attention of investors and specialists to launch vital social and cultural projects.”
Within the frames of the section Amusement Industry of Belgorod region, the heads of local parks and FECs shared their experience.
The GRINN Corporation was presented by a team of specialists; it is a chain of multifunctional trade and entertainment complexes, one of which is located in Belgorod. The company’s experience is unique, first of all, by the fact that the majority of the FECs are self-operated.
Later the program continued with presentations by Dmitry Vorobiev, Derector of Picnic Park; Alexander Karakulov, Director of Club-Park Tropicano; Nicolay Belov, General Director of Belgorod Zoo; Tatyana Antipova, Director of park Tchudo-Yudo-Grad, Gubkin city, Belgorod region. Such topical issues as: Creating Modern Recreational Leisure Zones, New Formats of Park Leisure, Project Design and Operation of Modern Zoos, Formation of Amusement Industry in Small Cities of Russia, etc. were discussed.
A separate section of the business program was devoted to presentations of amusement rides and services for amusement industry. The representatives of manufacturing companies among which were the well-known brands (I.E. Park (Italy), RIF, PlaySpace, Carousel Group of companies, PO Gros, Italpark, AirPalace, TICC Safety, and others) as well as the new-comers (Art Drive, Novotouch, A-Market, Like Money, and others) demonstrated various opportunities for leisure organization. Very soon some entertainment novelties will appear in parks, museums, hotels and trade centers of Belgorod and other cities of Russia. Some companies managed to demonstrate their products in real time - Qubica AMF and Bolid held live presentations at the entertainment facilities, the company Vending Lab set their Photobooth in the conference hall so that everyone could print a photo from Instagram with RAAPA logo and the Belgorod coat of arms.
After lunch the first day program continued by visiting Megacomplex GRINN where its top managers showed its amusement park, kiddie entertainment complex, multi-hall cinema, aquarium, night club and bowling club to participants. One of the most memorable moments was the sightseeing tour to a restaurant-brewery GRINN Beer with visiting the production facility and testing beer.
Especially for Summer Forum participants, the employees of Bureau of Joy by GRINN complex prepared a master-class The Perfect Kiddie Party as an Additional Sales Channel. This event was not just a theoretical workshop, but a real show in which animators of the complex showed everyone what they were capable of. This original approach caused an incredible delight among the participants of the Forum.
The evening continued in the panoramic restaurant Mezzanine where the opening reception of RAAPA Summer Forum in Belgorod was held.
The second day started with a workshop Active Entertainment: Current Formats of Active Leisure in Parks and FECs which was held by leading experts: Ludmila Kiseleva, an expert on managing entertainment complexes; Elena Platonova, CEO of Deco Design; Fedor Gavrichenko, the founder of the group of companies Skazochny Les.
The remaining time was devoted to visiting the most interesting entertainment facilities of Belgorod. The first on the route was Belgorod Zoo newly-opened just a month ago and included into the program of the Summer Forum at the last moment. The tour was held by the Director of the Zoo personally, he told about the process of its construction and what has yet to be brought to life in this wonderful corner of nature.
Later that day the participants visited one of the main attractions of Belgorod - Museum-Diorama Ognennaya Duga devoted to the largest tank battle in the history of the World War II on Prokhorovka Field.
The business part of the Forum ended with a visit to the Central Park of Culture and Leisure and a kiddie club Tropicano located on its territory. The tour was accompanied by not only a fascinating story by its Director, but also by a visit to the Ferris Wheel from the top of which a wonderful panorama of Belgorod city could be viewed. In the Tropicano the participants of RAAPA Summer Forum were solemnly awarded with diplomas.
The third day was traditionally dedicated to a sightseeing tour over the Belgorod region that could not be cancelled even by the 40-degree heat. Participants visited: museum Prokhorovka field, museum Third battlefield of Russia, the temple of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the park Klyuchi and an ethno-village Kostroma where everyone could feel the Belgorod hospitality and taste some traditional Russian treats.
According to the feedback of the majority of participants the Summer Forum in Belgorod exceeded all expectations. Some of them even called it the best Forum of all held by RAAPA. Participants unanimously noted the high-class organization, the relevance of the program, as well as the friendly atmosphere that prevailed at the event. Everyone without exception was delighted by Belgorod city and struck by its livability and coziness.
Experts agreed that holding of such Forums actually contributes to the development and popularization of amusement industry in the regions of Russia; it is a unique opportunity to communicate with colleagues and friends from all over the country.
“Where do we go next year?” - A question that worried most of the participants of RAAPA Summer Forum 2016!
