The 17th Moscow International Exhibition “Amusement rides and entertainment equipment RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2023” was held from October 11 to 13 in pavilion 57 at VDNKh.
The exhibition organizer is the Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAPAA). The general sponsor is PAX-Design company. General information partner is the magazine “Attractions and Entertainments”; Internet partner of the exhibition vtorio.com web portal and others.
More than 80 companies from seven countries took part in the exhibition.
The subject of the exhibition covered such areas of the amusement industry as: park attractions, entertainment devices, virtual reality, children's and sports grounds, activity parks, shooting galleries, trampoline arenas, inflatable attractions, themed design, rope parks, automation systems, water parks, vending equipment, vending and prize machines, design of parks and entertainment centers, staff training, organization of festive events, etc.
Among the regular exhibitors there were such well-known companies as: Las Vegas, PO GROS, Antonio Zamperla (Italy), AirPalace, Airmir, Sparta, Bolid, Carrousel Group of Companies, Ferris Wheel, ATTRAPLAST and others.
Twelve companies took part in the exhibition for the first time.
Among the new products worth mentioning are: FunGrad, Slabo? – children's rope parks; Mobil Lab - stationary, mobile and inflatable labyrinths; ParkVR - a mix of laser tag and computer games; RACE PARX, URACE-MINIKARTING – electric karting; Vesyolyy parovozik (Fun little train) – children's locomotives; Zvezdnoe detstvo (Starry Childhood) – children's play and sensory equipment; KIT COMPANY – sale of entertainment equipment; MAF ZASTAVA – educational furniture; Pozhenimsya (Shall we get married?) – entertainment machine; Snow crust is an all-season artificial surface.
Over three days, the exhibition was visited by more than 1,500 specialists - owners and managers of parks, entertainment centers, water parks, cinemas, holiday homes, health resort complexes, representatives of city administrations and authorities, event agencies, individual entrepreneurs and other interested parties.
The exhibition was accompanied by a topical business program. The major topic of the conferences and seminars was devoted to the prospects for the development of the modern entertainment industry.
The workshop “Catering in the entertainment industry - benefits, trends, problems, checks, challenges, and solutions” was conducted by leading F&B industry specialists at the specialized premises of the ROSBIOTECH University.
Natalya Zinchenko, Chairman of the Union of Specialists, Manufacturers, Suppliers and Operators of Children's Playground and Sports Equipment, spoke about traumatism on playgrounds and its consequences for owners.
“How to make amusement park of your dreams?” – business training under this name was conducted by Anton Kovalev, a professional business coach, head of various entertainment industry facilities.
The features of the practical application of the Urban Planning Code of the Russian Federation in the entertainment industry were revealed by Bulat Maskulov, head of the MAARCH design bureau.
Current issues of operating automated access control systems for attractions were discussed at a round-table, moderated by developer Ivan Assmus and operator Elena Telegina.
The conference “Prospects and directions for the development of the modern entertainment industry” brought together more than 100 participants. Among the topics discussed were: options for investing in the entertainment business, the specifics of the “restaurant + entertainment” business model, the creation of a modern sports and entertainment facility, etc.
Top managers of MazaPark company Alexander Mishchenko and Kirill Pustovarov held an interactive seminar “Entertainment Business: Don’t Make Our Mistakes! Which projects in the park are successful and which are not.”
Traditionally, during the days of the autumn exhibition, classes were held at the RAAPA Education Center on the safe and efficient operation of attractions. 34 specialists from 19 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan took part in them.
In total, about 300 specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia took part in the events of the RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN 2023 business program.
As one of the participants noted: “The RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN 2023 exhibition is one of the major events of the Russian amusement industry. We visit it to look for new attractions, communicate with the leading manufacturers and experts, learn and gain new knowledge, as well as have a productive pastime.”

Since the level of the two RAAPA EXPO exhibitions, held annually in spring and autumn, has basically become equivalent, the organizers decided to unify numbering of exhibitions starting from 2024, based on the total number of events held.
