"Park Yauza" will become the longest ecological park in Europe

2 july 2021

A huge park area called "Park Yauza" will be landscaped in Moscow and will run through the entire North-East Administrative District. 8.2 thousand objects of landscaping and improvement were transferred to the department of the new state autonomous institution.

“Now more than 4.6 thousand improvement objects and more than 3.6 thousand landscaping objects that previously belonged to various city structures have been transferred to the park. This will make it possible to qualitatively develop a new public space near the water, to increase the ecological and recreational and tourist significance of the territory, ”said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

The process of improvement and landscaping objects to Yauza Park will be completed by the end of 2021.

“The list of objects includes trees, shrubs, lawns, flower beds, exercise machines, piers, sun loungers, pavilions, bike paths and other objects. The territory of the future Yauza Park runs across the entire northeast of Moscow. Here are the squares near Lazoreviy and Tenisty proezd, and the “Garden of the Future”, and the territory along the Zapovednaya with the “Singing Field”, and the Rostokinsky aqueduct, and the Sports Park, and the park along Severodvinskaya Street, "said the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Maxim Gaman, head of the Department of City Property.

It is planned that this will be a single green zone with a length of more than 16 km with a walking route along the water bodies. For the comfortable rest and leisure of Muscovites, it is necessary that all these objects are kept in order.

The future Yauza Park as a new public space by the water should become one of the best places for recreation in the north-east of Moscow.
